Allow us to take a moment right out of the gate to reiterate: here at 1Source, we are not consultants.
Consultants get a bad wrap—perhaps rightfully so. When most people hear the word, “consultant” they think about a large, hourly expense and questionable return on investment. That’s not us.
We are not here to point at a problem you already know exists and say, “you’re going to need to fix that.” That’s not what businesses need.
Often businesses like yours just need a little advice and then work to get done.
That’s where we come in.
What’s “The Channel” anyway?
In technology, we’re what’s considered “in the channel” or channel partners. Selling through the channel is a massive and strategic part of corporate and enterprise technology. Almost every technology business you’ve heard of has a channel sales strategy.
What this means practically is that ACME Hammer Co. (a hypothetical technology vendor used to illustrate this point) doesn’t have to pay salaries, taxes, insurance, or commissions for in-house salespeople if they sell through the channel. The savings that the technology vendor experiences from selling through the channel are passed on to you — the customer.
It also means that 1Source can be considered an independent sales team that is able to represent multiple brands and products. This is an important distinction in the industry.
If you ask Harriet, the leading salesperson at ACME Hammer Co., how to solve your problem, she is going to say “I’ve seen this nail before!” Then she’ll hand you a shiny and new hammer. Every problem looks like a nail to ACME Hammer Co.
We’re advisors.
When you work with us, we might identify that some drops of wood glue and a few screws would work a whole lot better and last a whole lot longer than nails. Leaving the metaphor behind, we are able to create solutions that will actually work for you because we have the gift of wide perspective from working closely with many vendors.
We’re advocates.
When you have a problem to solve or a project that needs to get started, use us to help source the right technology solutions. We’ll bring multiple providers to the table and have them fight for your business. We act as an intermediary until you’d like to get connected directly with a vendor. We’ll advocate on your behalf until we get to a solution you love.
And then if, and only if, you select one of the vendors we bring to the table, that vendor will pay us a small commission on your contract.

We’ve just about seen and done it all when it comes to technology and implementations. Our goal is to be your single source for workplace technology solutions.
